In this episode of AI Lite Bites, we explore the Beacons project, jointly funded by Research Ireland and the Department of Education and Youth under the Discover programme. This project brings the international Bebras computational thinking challenge deeper into Irish schools and communities.
Host Maria Moloney is joined by Seán O’Brien and Professor Tiziana Margaria from the University of Limerick, who, together with the team in ICS and Maynooth University, will grow participation in Bebras in Ireland from 13,000 to over 20,000 in the next two years.
