The ADPO Executive Committee have been elected to represent all ADPO members. We aim to do this by focusing on the following areas:

• Providing accredited training for you to up-skill
• Running a yearly Conference, as well as regular events and webinars to learn, share, and broaden your network
• Lobbying for positive integration of data protection both in Ireland and across Europe

This month we would like to introduce you to Kieran Harte, member of the ADPO executive committee supporting training and certification.

Kieran is a career civil servant, working in the Central Statistics Office’s Data Office, located in Skehard Road, Cork.

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) collects, compiles, analyses, and disseminates statistical information relating to the economic and social life of the country. It is also responsible for co-ordinating official statistics produced by other public authorities and for developing the statistical potential of administrative records.

Kieran is part of a team that advises and supports the CSO on matters relating to statistical confidentiality and data protection. Kieran is a qualified data practitioner with additional qualifications in IT and human resources.
