The ADPO Executive Committee have been elected to represent all ADPO members. We aim to do this by focusing on the following areas:
- Providing accredited training for you to up-skill
- Running a yearly Conference, as well as regular events and webinars to learn, share, and broaden your network
- Lobbying for positive integration of data protection both in Ireland and across Europe
This month we would like to introduce you to Deirdre Miller, member of the ADPO executive committee supporting training and certification.
Deirdre Miller: Training & Certification Sub-Committee
Deirdre Miller is a practising barrister and a European Certified Data Protection Officer. Deirdre has worked as a data protection officer at a public sector body and a commercial semi-state organisation, and as a legal counsel specialising in data protection at a law firm and professional services firm. Deirdre has delivered training and talks on data protection.
Deirdre served on the board of a non-governmental organisation with a focus on privacy, including a 2-year term as chair, and is currently serving as a charity trustee. Deirdre is a member of the CEDPO AI Working Group.
With over 8 years’ experience in corporate governance and data protection, Deirdre is adept at applying risk management approaches to data protection issues.
