Join us for a practical introduction to Freedom of Information in Ireland.

This webinar will explore the purpose and development of FOI, the rights provided under the Freedom of Information Act 2014, and how FOI requests are made and processed. It will also consider what constitutes a record, applicable timeframes and fees, administrative grounds for refusal, key exemptions and the public-interest test.

The session will clarify the important distinction between an FOI request and a Data Subject Access Request, before concluding with practical guidance on record-keeping, objective decision-making and writing with future disclosure in mind.
