Our Mission
CyBridge is the ICS Cyber & Security Specialist Interest Group. It exists to close the knowledge gap among cybersecurity practitioners, legal professionals, senior leadership, academia, policymakers, and regulators — building mutual fluency across disciplines so that Irish organisations are technically resilient and legally sound.
Cyber risk is no longer a purely technical problem. It sits at the intersection of law, regulation, organisational governance, and technical practice. Too often, these communities operate in silos — creating blind spots that adversaries exploit. CyBridge exists to change that.
Who CyBridge Is For
CyBridge is open to all ICS members with a professional interest in cybersecurity and information security, including:
- Cybersecurity and information security practitioners
- Legal and compliance professionals
- Senior leaders and board members with security oversight responsibilities
- Academics and researchers in cybersecurity and related fields
- Policy makers and government officials
- Regulators and standards bodies
What We Do
CyBridge delivers a programme of activities designed to build cross-disciplinary understanding and professional community:
- Webinars and events — bringing together expert voices from across the cybersecurity landscape
- Working groups — focused on specific intersections of cyber, law, and governance
- Publications and guidance — practical resources for members navigating complex cyber risk environments
- Networking — connecting professionals across disciplines who rarely share a room
- CPD — supporting members in meeting their continuing professional development obligations
CyBridge Committee
CyBridge is governed by a voluntary committee of ICS members drawn from across the disciplines the SIG serves. The committee is responsible for setting the CyBridge programme, ensuring quality, and representing the interests of members to the ICS Council.
