25 September 2025 – St Stephen’s Green Club, Dublin
The Irish Computer Society (ICS) held its annual Fellows Lunch on 25 September 2025 at the St Stephen’s Green Club, Dublin. The event brought together long-standing and newly appointed Fellows to celebrate achievement, leadership, and contribution to the ICT community in Ireland.
Newly appointed President Paula Carney-Hoffler warmly welcomed three new Fellows into the Society:
- John Ward – Partner in Technology Consulting at EY, leading the Health Technology team. With more than 27 years in commercial software engineering, John previously served as Chief Technology and Transformation Officer (CTTO) at the HSE, where he played a pivotal role in the delivery of the Digital for Care strategy.
- Colin McHale – A senior business leader with decades of experience in technology, education, and health. Colin has held a number of senior roles with Intel, where he contributed to global innovation and strategic leadership in technology.
- Mark Greville – Vice President of Architecture at Workhuman. With over 20 years of technology leadership, Mark drives architectural strategy for a global social recognition and performance management platform. He previously spent more than a decade at Bank of America leading global technology groups, including Global Risk Analytics. Mark is also a CITA-Distinguished professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and serves on the Maynooth University Computer Science advisory board. Although unable to attend the lunch, Mark’s fellowship was warmly acknowledged by the Society.
In a special moment during the event, Paula Carney-Hoffler herself was welcomed into Fellowship by former ICS President Declan Brady, who praised her tireless work on the ADPO committee and her ongoing dedication to the wider ICS community.
The Fellows Lunch once again highlighted the central role of Fellows in supporting and shaping the future of the Irish Computer Society, recognising their contributions to technology, leadership, and the professional community.
