The Irish Computer Society would like to announce an upcoming conference in the Public Sector IT space, the Sharing & Reuse Conference, taking place on March 29th in Lisbon, Portugal.
Sharing & Reuse Conference 2017 organised under the umbrella of the ISA² Programme by the ISA Unit of Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT) of the European Commission on 29 March in Lisbon, will bring together representatives from public administrations: policy and decision makers, legal professionals, IT managers, and procurers. Private sector IT developers providing IT solutions for public administration will also be represented.
Modernising public administration through sharing and reuse of IT solutions will be the leading theme of the event. Participants will learn and discuss how sharing and reusing open source IT solutions can enable local, regional, national and European public administrations to deliver better electronic services to citizens at a reduced cost while promoting interoperability, standardisation and cooperation among them. Good practices related to the sharing and reuse of IT solutions (software and services) on a policy and practical level will also be shared and discussed.
The Sharing & Reuse Awards Ceremony rewarding the best cases of collaboration among public administrations to provide shared IT solutions will be the highlight of the conference.
If you wish to attend the conference, please pre-register online as soon as possible and no later than 22 March 2017. Please note that the registration is subject to approval by the organisers. For more information about the event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
