Web Accessibility: Creating Accessible Videos in Irish Sign Language



The National Disability Authority (NDA) and the Irish Computer Society (ICS) have partnered to deliver a series of training webinars in the area of web accessibility.  The series provides practical guidance on achieving compliance with the EU Web Accessibility Directive as well as wider Universal Design considerations.

The Irish Sign Language Act was signed into law on 24th December 2017 and commenced on 23rd  December 2020.  The Act recognises the right of the Deaf community to access public services using ISL as their native language, including better access to public services through sign language.

As part of this series, we now welcome the Irish Deaf Society to deliver essential training in the next webinar of this series:
