IT Professionalism Meeting for 3rd Level Institutions

The ICS invites all members and interested parties at 3rd level institutions to discuss the development of a module on IT Professionalism to be made available to all students of computing in third-level institutions on Tuesday 24th July from 14:30 – 16:30.

The aim of the meeting is to help scope the project and outline the syllabus. Key decision's such as whether the module should teach the minimum standard (and therefore be most accessible) or strive to teach the ideal and accelerate young professionals along the path to our Chartered IT Professional status.

This module will communicate the standards expected of all members of the IT profession and be an opportunity to promote membership of the ICS.

Students who complete the module may qualify for membership benefits, or subscription free periods, not available to those who do not complete the module.

The objective of the meeting iis to begin drafting a syllabus and all feedback is welcome.
