ICS membership is open to anyone working, studying, or with an interest in Information Technology. Affiliate Members may upgrade to Associate or Professional Members by supplying details of their education and experience, and providing referees.

Fellowship is reserved for senior IT professionals who have displayed a significant contribution to the IT profession, the field of IT and Computing, or, through the application of IT, to Society or Industry. ICS Fellows are entitled provide input to the Society at the highest level, and may use the designation Fellow of The Irish Computer Society (FICS).
