The topic of “best practice” has become increasingly important over the past 30 years, since Peters & Waterman first broadly popularised the concept (“In Search of Excellence,” 1982). More recently, pursuit of “best practice” has become a key focus of government, the health industry, professional bodies and institutions, as well as business.

Health Hack Dublin 2013 is taking place!

Healthcare professionals are gearing up to meet their technological matches and to make their ideas a reality at Health Hack Dublin organised by ICS with support from Kainos, Northern Ireland Connected Health Innovation Centre (CHIC) and  EMC from 10.30am on Saturday, 22nd June to 3.00pm on Sunday, June 23rd.

The event will bring healthcare professionals and innovative developers and designers together to collaborate on solutions that will empower patients in the digital age. Clinicians and health care managers from all over Ireland have signed up to Health Hack Dublin

Scratch competition 2013 announces winners after record entry numbers

The next generation of software entrepreneurs took to the Scratch National Finals in IT Tallaght last Saturday 25th May. Organisers of the 2013 ICS Scratch Competition, the Irish Computer Society (ICS) saw a record number of entries to the competition, with entries starting from Senior Infants right up to Leaving Cert Students.
